Donor Privacy Policy

Our Commitment To Donors

We use donor information to process gifts, issue acknowledgements, answer questions, share updates requested by the donor, maintain records, and improve the giving experience. We do not sell donor information. We do not rent donor lists. We do not share donor information for another organization’s fundraising without permission.

Information Connected To Donations

Donation information may include name, email address, billing details, donation amount, donation frequency, transaction date, receipt information, and messages a donor chooses to send. Payment details are handled through Stripe-hosted checkout or another secure payment provider. St. Jude Africa Children’s Foundation does not store full card numbers on this website.

Receipts, Updates, And Recognition

We may use donor contact information to send receipts, respond to donor requests, and share impact updates. Donors can ask us not to send general updates. If we publish a donor acknowledgement, sponsor note, or public thank-you, we ask permission first unless the donor has already made the information public for that purpose.

Donors may also ask to give anonymously. Anonymous gifts may still appear in our internal records and payment processor records, but we will not publicly identify the donor when anonymity has been requested.

Recurring Donations

Monthly gifts are processed according to the frequency and amount selected by the donor on the secure payment page. Donors can contact us to ask how to update or cancel a recurring gift. Depending on the payment method, Stripe may also provide donor-facing tools for managing the payment method or subscription.

Access, Correction, And Opt Out

Donors can contact us to review, correct, or update donor information, request communication changes, or ask that we limit how we use their information. We honor reasonable requests while keeping records that are required for accounting, legal, fraud-prevention, or safeguarding purposes.

How We Protect Donor Information

We restrict access to donor information to people and service providers who use it for foundation operations. We use secure payment processing and reasonable safeguards for records, email, website access, and administrative accounts.
