St. Jude Africa Children’s Foundation is an organization which started two years back, with the vision of being in an exclusive world in which all children live a healthy and vibrant life to their full potential.

Our mission is commitment to improve the quality of life of children with disabilities in Uganda.

The following are the founders of St. Jude Africa Children’s Foundation;

  • Naluggya Mary Director / Chairperson
  • Kinobe Meddy Director / Vice Chairperson
  • Kibuuka Lawrence Director / Secretary
  • Kiguli Paul Director / Treasurer
  • Kiguli Jude Director / Patron

In May 2022, we had a meeting at our Head Office in Bugembe where we discussed different strategies that we are supposed to use in order to get donation from within Uganda and not Europe. The following among others included the following;

  • Social media platforms
  • Business cards
  • Conferences
  • Radios and TVs.

The strategies discussed above registered success and on 22nd October 2022, we visited three (3) different schools;

  • Spire Road Primary School
  • Kisima 1 Primary School
  • Kisima 2 Primary School.

On our visit to these schools, we delivered different items which include;

  • Sanitary pads to girls.
  • Geometry sets
  • Maize flour
  • Beans

Here we also visited Balitwegomba Complex Home of Blind Children which is under Spire Road Primary School.

In her speech, the Director encouraged the blind children to continue with their studies without any fear because they can also acquire good jobs like other normal children. She urged them to concentrate since they can also become lawyers, doctors, teachers e.t.c

She assured them that people love them so much and therefore they should not be worried of their status.

At Kisima 1 and Kisima 2 Primary Schools, shoes and clothes were given out to pupils and other needy children around .

The children, all teachers from the three (3) different schools and Kisima Councilor, appreciated the support given to them.

CHALLENGES

  • There are schools like Spire Road P/S with children with disabilities e.g Blind children and Albinos. They demanded a
  • repair of their Brail machines but we failed to help them.
  • We visited Kisima 1 and Kisima 2 Islands without life jackets.
  • We failed to collect a bio data to indicate the impact of our JACF team.

The Director thanked God who helped us to walk together without any misunderstanding, as the five (5) Directors, we are still together.

She also thanked the Patron who has donated without any hesitation.

She thanked the effort we put to open the Bank A/C and website which is very active.

She thanked the Directors for the trust given to her.

She also emphasized the renewing of the certificate, which should be done very soon.

From the JACF team, much appreciation goes to our Patron who contributed very much towards this exercise and other members who made cash contributions.

Special thanks to the Director and her Deputy.

This marked the end of 2022 activities and we are looking forward to unfold others in this new year.

Thanks every one for the continued support, May the Lord reward you abundantly.
