Friends and followers of Mariam’s care journey, we are back again with another update. For starters, we appreciate everyone who relentlessly supports our work here at St. Jude Africa Children’s Foundation and those who have been working with us on Mariam’s care journey.
In June, Mariam underwent several surgeries including an amputation and we worked together with you to fundraise the much needed funds for her hospital care. When she got discharged, Mariam needed crutches since the ones she had been using could not support her anymore.
We reached out to you and you listened to our call. Mariam got her new clutches and she is extremely happy that she can now manage her movements and has been able to go back to school.
Mariam’s journey of hope is not over yet, it is just getting started and it is because of numerous people that have made a difference in her life and that of her mom. We thank you and we invite you to continue supporting Mariam and other children in our care.
