Little Mariam from Kamuli was born with Spina Bifida, a condition that has shaped her young life in unimaginable ways. As she grew, she developed a severe foot ulcer that refused to heal, causing constant pain and limiting her ability to move and play like other children.
In May 2022, doctors finally diagnosed her condition and began treatment, bringing a renewed sense of hope to Mariam and her family. But despite their efforts, her health took a devastating turn. The infection worsened, and in order to save her life, Mariam had to undergo the amputation of both legs.
Today, Mariam faces a new reality one filled with challenges, but also courage. A wheelchair would give her the freedom to move, return to school, and experience the simple joys every child deserves. Sadly, her mother, who is currently unemployed, cannot afford to provide this life-changing support.
Your support can rewrite Mariam’s story. By helping provide a wheelchair, you’re not just giving mobility you’re opening the door to education, independence, and hope. Every donation, no matter how small, brings Mariam one step closer to a brighter future where she can dream, learn, and smile again.
